To lose your excess body fat you will want a good workout regimen full of cardio. There is also a common misconception with this too, some people believe that in order to lose weight with cardio exercises you must be going at a steady pace for at least thirty minutes. Because of this people will hop on the treadmill or elliptical machine and stare at the tube the whole time. I would like to challenge you to stay away from this and try something a bit different. Now I am not saying that treadmill or elliptical exercises are bad, I am just saying that if you are truly desirous of losing that belly then you need to work out with different levels of intensity. If you’re just staring at the tv screen you may not be getting a really good workout. There is a ton of abdominal fat exercises that you can do in order to drop the weight. One thing you will want to make sure you are doing is constantly tricking your body into thinking that the exercises are new. The thing is, the body gets bored really quickly so make sure that you are switching up your routines.
If you are going to use an elliptical or treadmill machine, make sure your workout goes something like this: Warm-up for 3-4 minutes at a fast walk or light jog Interval 1 - run at 8.0 mi/hr for 1 minute Interval 2 - walk at 4.0 mi/hr for 1.5 minutes Interval 3 - run at 10.0 mi/hr for 1 minute Interval 4 - walk at 4.0 mi/hr for 1.5 minutes Repeat those 4 intervals 4 times for a very intense 20-minute workout.
Here are some quick abdominal fat exercises that you can do today: • Renegade Dumbbell Rows – In the pushup position place one hand on each dumbbell, then alternate raising each dumbbell to your chest. Do 5 sets of 5 or 3 sets of 8. • Mountain Climbers – In the pushup position shuffle your feet in and out so that your knees go under your chest. Try doing this for at least 20 second intervals. • Front Squats – Similar to back squats, except that you rest the barbell in front of your shoulders. It may take a bit of practice at first, so I would suggest asking for help until you can do it by yourself. Try doing 5 sets of 5 or 3-4 sets of 8. These are just a few samples of exercises that are cardio but not traditional.
